Woman’s Board of the Chicago Horticultural Society
The Occasion: Set amongst a 10,000-square-foot indoor winter exhibition of garden scale trains, winter flora, and replicas of more than 80 iconic Chicago landmarks, the Woman’s Board of the Chicago Horticultural Society held its fifth annual dinner at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
The Details: After cocktails were served in the exhibit, dinner was plated in one of three themed rooms: Regal English Garden, Moroccan Courtyard Garden, and Japanese Zen Garden.
The Highlight: Realistic snow fell within the indoor exhibit, delighting the young and young at heart.
The End Result: More than 350 guests attended, raising $275,000 which will directly support the care and maintenance of three living laboratories: the Woman’s Board Rainwater Glen, the Ellis Goodman Family Foundation Green Roof Garden South, and the Josephine P. & John J. Louis Foundation Green Roof Garden North.
