The Occasion: The Woman’s Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago hosted nearly 500 guests at the Hilton Chicago during their annual black-tie gala, which raises funds for Chicago’s most vulnerable children and the programs that help make their dreams a reality.

The Highlights: Guests cocktailed and danced under celestial blue décor inspired by the evening’s theme and bid on auction items like a trip for four to Napa Valley and a one-week stay at a villa in Tuscany.

The VIPs: Summer Ball was co-chaired by Kathy Carbonari and Debbie Terlato, both of Lake Forest, and was attended by such notable North Shore guests as John and Carol Walter, Roger and Sandra Deromedi, Bill and Linda Gantz, and Andy and JoanMcKenna.

The End Result: More than $1.38 million was raised to go toward life-enhancing programs that provide a safe haven to more than 10,000 Chicago-area youth. bgcc.org
