The Occasion: The North Shore’s own and longtime Sheridan Road contributor Amy DiTomasso kicked off the start of her business, Sugar Chic, during a launch party at Epoch in Chicago.

The Backstory: Amy, a lifelong lover of candy and sweets, decided to marry her love for tablescapes and sugar, and grew it into a business, which stylizes dessert tables for special events, such as birthdays, showers, weddings, and anniversaries.

The End Result: Guests took in the five different dessert tables on display, each with a different theme showcasing Amy’s talents, and did a little indulging on their own. sugarchicdesigns.com.
