The Occasion: Actress Sarah Jessica Parker and musician Harry  Connick Jr. headlined the Gala Preview for the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago on April 20, as supporters were treated to dinner and first-look tours of the state-of-the-art, 23-floor hospital. 

 

The VIPs: Gala co-chairs were Lester Crown, Ann Lurie, Andrew J. McKenna Sr., Robert S. Murley, Penny Pritzker, and J. Christopher Reyes, while Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Lovie Smith, Tom Ricketts, William Daley, David Axelrod, Scottie Pippen, and Bonnie Hunt toasted the hospital’s opening.

 

The End Result: Ann Lurie, along with a committee of leading philanthropists, announced that $5.2 million was raised a part of the fundraising campaign for the world-class hospital. childrensmemorial.org
