Family Night at the Museum : Camp Kesem
The Occasion: A staggering 1,000 supporters of Camp Kesem, a summer camp that provides support for children whose parents have been diagnosed with or have died from cancer, came out to The Field Museum in Chicago for an evening of fun and food.
The Details: Giordano’s Famous Stuffed Pizza and Victory Park Capital were the evening’s sponsors, as guests young and old enjoyed pizza, a scavenger hunt, and a lively auction.
The VIPs: Jane Saccaro of Winnetka serves as CEO, Windy City LIVE host Ryan Chiaverini served as emcee, and NFL superstar brothers Torry and Terrence Holt flew in from North Carolina to donate $40,000 from the Holt Brothers Foundation.
The Final Tally: More than $300,000 was raised, to help provide free magical summer camp experiences to children. campkesem.org
