What: On Feb. 11, Chicago Childrens Museum (CCM) and Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA) will host an event designed to showcase the endless possibilities for children with disabilities who want to get active and athletic. The event, part of CCMs monthly Play For All program, will feature stations highlighting a variety of different activities, including goal ball, hand cycling, roller sled hockey and judo. Current athletes with disabilities will share their stories with attendees as well, and the Empowered Fe Fes will give a special performance in CCMs Great Hall at noon.]

What: The Midwest Regional Office of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF will host the fifth annual Message of Hope Gala, an inspiring evening filled with fabulous entertainment, dancing, a gourmet dinner, and live and silent auctions offering extraordinary items from around the world. Proceeds from the event support UNICEFs critical work for the worlds children. Despite extraordinary progress, 21,000 children are still dying every day from preventable causes.
